Smallville Fans get a Halloween Treat

The night before Halloween is known as devils night, I’m guessing it’s modern purpose is to provide an outlet for intrepid teens who can’t wait one more night to make some trouble.  While all the hoodlums were out, Smallville fans were home getting an early treat: The Kiss!00027974

Finally!

Sorry, I had to do that.  Finally, we got the kiss.  The kiss we were told for so long we could never have.  The kiss that we’ve been waiting FOUR YEARS for.  And in public at that.

I was unabashedly vocal about my distaste for the recent Ollie still loves Lois line, but we all know how much Smallville loves shapes, especially triangles.  I now realize that this was an important line for Ollie to push Lois, and in turn – via tv online dating – push Clark to man up for the first time in his life.  I was sorta expecting him to just appear in the back of a church and look longingly sexy in the stained glass light.

Finally! this lets us think about the future for the first time in a long time.  It goes without saying that this wont be smooth sailing but what does this really mean for the future of Smallville?  Will they string us along with the same painful on again off again crap we’ve dealt with for years? Or will we finally see a rewarding relationship develop while being realistic to the situations at hand.  I don’t hold a lot of faith in the latter, but we’ll see.

  1. It really was, burning was just the thing to make it awesome.

  2. I still can’t believe you ate the heart

  3. How could you have the opportunity to eat something/one’s heart and turn it down?
