Now on to what we’re here for…

Nate’s biggest asset is his ability to see the big picture. He knows his team’s abilities, and can very quickly figure out what they need to do in any given situation. He’s always got an idea of what to do, and a solution to their current problem. When he’s in the field, Nate’s a really great character actor which is something I really like. It feels better to have the brains working the job with the rest of the team, instead of standing back somewhere directing them.

Nate also has an extremely strong sense of justice, he’s a good cook, a magician, and he’s got a sweet apartment.

With all of these positives come a whole pile of negatives though. His previous life on the other side of the law means he’s got people (ie Sterling) who he’s now up against, who know him, and know Nate, who understand him. He’s very awkward when it comes to his emotions, and prefers to ignore them, preferring to work instead of figure out what he’s feeling. His son is also a huge sore spot for him. His drinking is also a problem, but as we’ve seen a sober Nate isn’t necessarily any better.

As Rikki Sixx said in our very own comments, “Nate is my vote for a favourite character. He brings a dark humor to the show, he’s sexy, he’s smart, he always gets the crew out of EVERY jam, even if he’s the one who put them in the jam in the first place.
AND most importantly… if there was no Nate. There would BE no Leverage team.”

It’s true, in the beginning Nate threw together a bunch of loners who grew into a well-oiled team, that’s gotta net him some major points. But is it enough to make Nate the top dog in the LEVERAGE SHOWDOWN? Comment and tell us what you think, TNT’s got some sweet prizes you can win if you do!

And have fun, those of you lucky enough to be going to the Leverage panel in San Diego today!

  1. Nate is my favorite character. Nate is the Mastermind of the group. He knows what everyone is capable of doing and the best way to use them. He also, has some of the best characters in the cons. He is sexy, smart, and quick thinking. He can save the group at a moments notice and save the con as well. He is willing to sacrifice himself for the team, they are his family.

Without Nate the team doesn’t have the Leverage they need to pull off some of the dangerous cons they do.

  2. Big brain, tragic past, strong personality. What more could a fangirl want in a character?
